Operational Training

 

1. Value-Added Analysis - 201405

  • The purpose of this training is to equip your staff with the tools to conduct a thorough, methodical evaluation of all major activities. Your staff will learn how to use a proven methodology to identify redundancy and inefficiency or "non-value adding" activities. This allows informed decision making to eliminate waste and to focus on the customer.
  • Your staff will bring a known process from your organization with them to the training. The training provides hands-on training with the example process defined by the student.
  • Expected outcomes from the training include elimination of non-value adding activities, reduced cycle time to complete the process, and improved customer service. 

2. Six-Sigma/LEAN Strategies - 201406

  • The purpose of this training is to equip your staff with the ability to utilize the strategies and methodology of Six Sigma and LEAN in order to improve processes by decreasing defects (or "errors") and improving quality.
  • Practical examples will be employed to illustrate Six-Sigma / LEAN tools and approaches to problem solving, including the fundamentals of The  Project Team, the DMAIC methdology, defining the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and redsigning the process.

4. Technology Gap Analysis - 201408

  • The purpose of this training is to equip your staff with a proven methodology that allows quick yet meaningful input into strategic technology decisions. Your team wil learn how to,  a) create technology maps of your current technology, b) define strategic technology requirements, c) present technology justifications to a non-technology audience (incorporating business objectives).

5. Strategic Planning- 201409

  • Why hire outside consultants to conduct strategic planning retreats when internal resources are available? The purpose of this training is to equip your staff with the ability to guide your leadership through a strategic planning workshop.
  • Two tracts are available. The first defines the methodology for a half day Strategic Planning workshop, the second tract provides your staff with the methodology to conduct multi-day strategic planning retreats.
  • Your staff will learn how to facilitate and define and document your organization's mission statement, vision statement, strengths/weaknesses/opportunities/threats, and then how to solicit from participants the action pllan to accomplish strategic success.

6. Process Improvement - 201410

  • The purpose of this training is to equip your staff with a proven methodology to: a) document the inputs, process logistics, and outputs of the current state, b) develop achieveable and meaningful improvement objectives, c) analyze the current state via value-added, six-sigma and other analysis methodologies, d) document steps to achieve the desired state including required resources, procedural changes and management support, and e) develop the "case for improvement" the impact to the bttom-line of the recommended improvement
  • Your staff will gain a cohesive and integrated appreciation and use of process improvement tools such as, flow-charting, process measurement (key performance indicators, KPI's), activity analysis, and decision point analysis. Each participant receives a reference manual with process improvement definitions, methodology flow-charts, examples of various tools associated with value-added analysis, six-sigma / LEAN, fishbone diagraming, decision tree, etc.

7. Leadership Training - 201411

  • Leadership training is oneof the most important strategic investments an organization can make. This course is designed to facilitate an understanding of where your organization's management is at, both individually and collectively. This is achieved through self analysis and learning exercises.
  • Topics covered in the training range from a) exploring different Leadership Styles, identifying each participant's current style and the style they desire, b) Ethics for Leaders, c) developing a Communication Plan, d) developing a Leadership mindset for Goal Setting / Management by Data, e) exploring how Leaders develop internal staff competencies as part of the organization's Succession Planning.

 

Audit Training

 

1. CIA Exam Preparation - 201418

  • The purpose of this training is to instruct and mentor your staff using a proven methodology to pass each CIA Exam Part (Part 1: Internal Auditing Basics/Part 2: Internal Audit Practices/Part 3: Knowledge Elements). We recommend that each part be prepared for and taken separately from the following part. Ask us about our pass or else guarantee.
  • For government auditors, we offer training and mentoring for the IIA's Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) certification. This training is conducted "by government auditors, for government auditors."

2. Risk Assessment - 201419

  • The purpose of this training is to equip yoour staff with the tools to a) properly prepare your organization for risk assessment, b) properly define and solicit responses to a risk survey, c) develop and implement meaningful risk matrix, and finally, d) to prioritize your organization's risk.
  • The training uses practical examples to illustrate each risk assessment element and then utilizes your organization's risk environment to complete risk surveys, risk matrix, and risk-based audit plans.
