William Brown, CIA, CGAP
Founder and Managing Partner, Wil Brown has over 25 years of experience in leadership and strategic management roles, split evenly between the manufacturing industry and the local government sector. Wil established the internal audit function for one of the largest tax collector's in the country. This feat was followed by establishing the internal audit function at one of the largest private career colleges in the country. At Operational and Audit Solutions, Wil has created efficient, value-adding training curriculum that includes practical e-tools such as, fully-customizable internal audit templates for organizations just launching internal audit and risk management programs.
Wil's manufacturing sector experience includes serving as an Industrial Engineer for a variety of manufacturing companies. His areas of responsibility included the following areas: heavy machining operations, assembly line balancing, automated packaging operations, labor and production standards, inventory control, and OSHA compliance programs. Wil has significant experience in leading culture changes in the factory environment having played significant roles in implementing Sterling criteria and Edwards Demming philosophy for four separate organizations. Wil's expertise combines standard industrial engineering practices such as labor standards, productivity measurement, assembly-line balancing, production flow, and quality control with a practical knowledge of Six-Sigma and LEAN process improvement strategies.
At Operational and Audit Solutions, Wil has created a proprietary improvement methodology, and developed a train-the-trainer program that uses value-added analysis, six-sigma, and voice-of-the-customer concepts to impart practical, critical decision-making skills to all levels of the organization.
